Heart Mother Nature!

Standard

Actually, at the beginning of the week, I planned another challenging task: translating a work from Carl Jung. Still, I did have to settle for a short article because my wife’s sister-in-law, whom I might have mentioned before with a tumour in her head spending her last days, has finally found salvation.

In the artist’s series of interesting environmental renditions, man and his creations are of the Earth. Nothing man-made cannot be swallowed by the mossy green land on which it rests. Sometimes, even man is part of the emerald landscape that engulfs and supports architecture and makes objects. So, is it a struggle to keep afloat or an agreement to work as one?
Avramidis’ thought-provoking paintings will be on display as part of his first UK solo exhibition entitled Caretakers at Jacob’s Island Gallery through October 20, 2012.

Honestly, I am not a nature expert and know little about the names of plants or flowers. I don’t know if they ever know my name! However, I know my wife, Regina, is an expert; her highest enjoyment is walking between the flowers and the trees. Therefore, I suggested walking in a beautiful part of our town to try calming her sad heart (as I have enough experience with losing loved ones!). The city where we live is not a nice one at all, but a lot of green areas surround the environment.

So, in Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words, NaturNaturees a noble human need, namely the love for Beauty. The ancient Greeks called the world a word that means ornament, beauty.

Ralph G. Emerson referred to nature as the “Universal Being”; he believed there was a spiritual sense of the natural world around him. Depicting this sense of “Universal Being,” Emerson states, “The aspect of natureNatureevout.

Anyway, this time, I have more pictures than words to share, and I think there is not much to say as the images speak for themselves. Here are the photos I took during our walk.

I believe there is no need to be a plant expert, as we are partly created by Mother Nature. Still, we must be aware of our essence and keep it safe as far as possible.

By the way, I got a message from WP that I have reached 1k followers! As I gratefully wonder how it could happen, I must confess that I am just happy that many of these friendly people don’t care about my humble posts or write comments; otherwise, I would be bushed!😜🙏💖

  1. Dear Aladin, I’m so sorry to hear your wife’s sad news. Death is never easy, for many it sits heavy in the heart for days, years often, occasionally a lifetime because how can one forget a deep connection made so long ago.

Long before therapists (me) were even thought of, people took their troubles to the trees, rivers, mountains and there nature’s beauty and wonder calmed them and repeated exposure to being outdoors, often healed them.

Personally, I don’t know where I would be without nature. It seems to work as some big compensation in my life to all the grief and sorrow I’ve endured. Your photos and quotes were beautiful and calming. All beautiful blessings!

Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Hope you and your wife are both having a peaceful, restful weekend. Much love and light, Deborah. xxx

    • Oh yes, my lovely Deborah. It stuns me that I, as a big city boy raised and living in a big town like Tehran, suddenly discovered the magic of nature. My mother adored nature, especially roses, and she turned the garden of our house into a rose garden. But I got the main point here as my wife forced me to know this beauty. I also must mention here the support and guidance from friends like you!
You say, “Where would you be without nature? I say this affects us all. This walk has helped Regina cope with grief, as she can let go better in nature, where she feels free—sending you my immense gratitude, lovely angel. Blessings.💕🌹🙏🌺🦋💖

  2. Deep condolences to your wife and you!

Sometimes I think life is just plain mean.

Anyway… I spent an hour in our postage stamp size garden where tomatoes and herbs are joyfully in overabundance.

    N & I spoke of nature’s teaching.

How fortunate I am to live where my lessons are coming from the cycling of green and the fruits that feed my body.

Nature teaches in the desert, forests, at the frozen poles, at the sea shore, through pets (animals) and more.

Lovely shots of your walk with you wife. Green is the aura of healing.

So, what city do you live in? I think I knew, but for forget.

    I’ll check your about page!

Best wishes to you and yours, Aladin!

    • My dear Resa, I think you are playing down your garden with your words, “stamp-sized garden”, though I have nothing against a small one that would never need too much work!!😉😅 Anyway, I know you might have a better chance to understand nature in your youth than I do.

I love and appreciate your interest in my environment. I will heartily let you know that I live in Bielefeld, Germany. When I moved there in 1988, it was a big, nice and pleasant village, but now the business has overtaken it to make it a big city, although it can’t be with such narrow alleys and streets. What a pity!
However, Thank you so much, my dear friend, for all of your support.🌟🍁💖🌹☘🌴🌻

This is a hard time for your wife, and how wonderful that you knew how to comfort her. It’s a powerful gift to have someone walk with us at a time of loss, especially someone who has been through the pain of loss. Thank you for your kindness to your beloved wife. This was the right piece to share because it’s a soul lesson. Blessings and inner peace.

  4. I’m so sorry to hear of your wife’s sad loss Aladin – taking her walking in a place of beauty, as you’ve shown in your photo’s, was wrapping her in natures comforting, healing blanket. My heartfelt condolences to both of you.

    • Thank you so much for your sympathy, dear Michele. Death belongs to life, and it will be good if it comes at a certain age and not too soon. And I think there is no urgent need to be introduced to nature because the feeling connects everything together!😉🥰🙏🌹
