Dying with the boots on, just the boots. Great read 🙏👍💖

GHOST2 (2)

Likely it would have happened regardless of the earthquake, after all for every beginning there is inevitably an end. Time out of kilter. That’s all. Even so, a pity he had to die so young. When the soldiers had dragged his corpse out of the rubble he looked like an unwashed burly, surprisingly pinkish, pig awaiting a butcher’s slab and knife. She almost, yet not quite, smiled when realizing he died with his boots on. Just boots. That puzzled her although not unduly. In any event she had guessed his fate already. Stark evidence merely verification of what her heart had already advised her of.

Prior to the visible corroboration she had prayed. Prayed in hope of a miracle…denied common-sense the freedom to tell her otherwise. For the life of her she had no idea as to why. She was not an idiot. She knew full well that a prayer…

Catch 22

A wonderful presentation to all women from deep of my heart 🙏🙏❤❤

yassy's avataryaskhan

Marriage has come of age
Till death do apart just an adage.

The bitter half need not forever be your solemate
Marriage need not seal your fate.

Controlling the mind, raping the body
Break shackles of human foibles shoddy.

Caught between the devil and the deep sea
Nowhere to go and no place go flee.

The sword of damocles hanging over her head
The sacrificial virgin is about to be wed.

I dedicate this poem to all women everywhere .

We The Women

Standard

One story among many, but every one breaks the heart ❤❤

yassy's avataryaskhan

Everytime I hear about a rape being committed, i die a little inside. That is when I read it on the internet, or watch it on the television. Or the papers.
But what happens when you really meet victims of rape or their parents.
i broke down.
The courage these women have shown.one young woman that i met had been raped, thrown across the railway tracks. She survived to tell her story and still fights it out inspite of losing both her limbs.
She is way beyound brave..these women are the real heroes
This is just one story in hundreds of others.
I can't write . I am too overwhelmed and lost for words.
Its a battle that all of us fight because the law is corrupt and the people who run it are Democratically elected .

BLINK AND YOU WILL MISS ME

Standard

We are all dust in the wind, I will miss you always Mike, dear Sir 🤗👍🙏

blink and you shall miss me

blink and you will miss me
me
the old fool

I exist in this moment
as do you my friend
too soon
both you and I
will be the dust
of cosmic storms
our purpose
whatever it may have been
as unsure of itself
and as mystical
as in the now

before long
we shall say adieu
to our memories
for memories
have no substance
they are not of
the carbon matter
of all other things
things that are finite
floating in
this infinite universe
they are a nothing
existing only in our heads
only while the heart beats

in a twinkling of an eye
mankind will be gone
from this place
yet while the thinking mind subsists
the lessons of history
have meaning
profound
or seemingly of
little significance
all of our recollections
have value
messages from the past
once digested
play a part
in how we serve out

Cinderella is a special Fairy tale that I enjoyed as a child. The rags to riches tale allegedly goes back to Greece Herodotus 484 – 425 BCE and China Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE) called “Yeh Shen”.

The famous poet Giambattista Basile 1566-1632, revamped the the tale from La Gatta Cenerentola (The Cat Cinderella) and later Charles Perrault reworked it in 1697.

The Grimm brothers collected some folk tales from a German woman from Kassel Hesse Germany they wrote the German version of Cinderella in 1857.

Below is the German version of Cinderella by the Brothers Grimm 1857

Once upon a time,

The wife of a rich man fell sick, and as she felt that her end was drawing near, she called her only daughter to her bedside and said, “Dear child, be good and pious, and then the good God will always protect you, and I will look…
