All Wars in the World begin first within one’s Own Self!

Standard

First, one must find a way to resolve and balance one’s internal conflict by knowing one’s Shadow; that is all I can say for now! I might do that, as my mind is desperately seeking a calm sanctuary within my soul to find peace!

“My I, you are a barbarian. I want to live with you; therefore, I will carry you through an utterly medieval Hell until you are capable of making living with you bearable. You should be the vessel and womb of life; therefore, I shall purify you. The touchstone is being alone with oneself. This is the way.” ~Carl Jung, The Red Book, Page 330.

Carl Gustav Jung: “What drives people to war with themselves is the suspicion or the knowledge that they consist of two persons in opposition to one another. The conflict may be between the sensual and the spiritual man, or between the Ego and the Shadow. It is what Faust means when he says: ‘Two souls, alas, are housed within my breast.’ A neurosis is a splitting of personality.”

  1. Such a profound reflection, Aladin.

It takes immense courage to look within and face the “Shadow” when the outside world seems so chaotic.

We often forget that global peace is only a reflection of collective inner peace.

Jung’s words seem incredibly timely right now

    Thinking of you, my friend.

  2. “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious”.. I too have meditated on this topic more than any other topic. It is the subject of my best montage… I faced my shadow at 30 and won (insofar as the world is concerned. I am harmless). I was fortunate. All I wanted (or thought I wanted) was my girlfriend to stay with me, to be mine forever. Trying to keep her amplified my insecurities and negative worldly ambition. I found myself abandoning other people, chasing status and money to impress her… I became a version of myself I didn’t recognize. I am so relieved it’s over!.. This was the fight the warring troublemakers of society must have lost🖖

  3. Most interesting Aladin, thank you!

I love being with myself, in my own company.

Conflict within… not much to see here, but it has happened.

Jung is so interesting, and correct. I’ve said it before, because of you, I know him more.

    Peace to you, dear friend!
