Many events are happening worldwide, but most are disheartening: millions of refugees, wars, hunger, uncertainty, and executions. However, I want to focus on the last one and have to, again, urge the world to put an end to it. It appears there is a systematic plan to eliminate the youngβthose full of hopes, dreams, and potential. They represent the future of Iran, brimming with creativity and energy, and they are at risk of being destroyed.
I donβt want to hurt my friends, but it appears that a brutal regime in the Middle East aims to massacre the youth and destroy the wealth of ancient and precious folk and their country!
The Islamic Regime searches for them on purpose to get them, jail them, and execute them. Prisons, including special facilities for political prisoners, are present in the political history of many countries. In Iran, one such prison is known as Evin. It should have been demolished after the fall of the Shah; however, the mullahs found it to be much more advantageous for their purposes.
I have often mentioned that global superpowers benefit from having a chaotic regime or a wild dog in that region, like the Mullah Regime. They maintain control over those countries through fear, hoping that the West will take action against this threat. But how long should it go until no common sense remains there? And then, Westerpower engages another favourite doll to work with?!
I believe you are as muddled as I am; what can we do?
I just shout to the world: Stop this terrifying terror against humanity and our outstanding youth!
We might only keep praying for the lives of those who want their right to live, which is their inalienable right. The right to live in freedom!

Oh Aladin, it’s just ab-soul-utely heart-breaking to read your post today! Where is the justice? Where is the fairness in any of this? How can a regime want to silence, murder it’s young people if they object? How can they fight back without the fear, of themselves or their loved ones, being punished or worse? Where will this tyranny end? I have no answers but in this state of affairs I would turn to the poets, the dreamers, the creative ones who understand these long dark nights of the soul and from their experience long may they offer us wisdom, hope and guidance. Oh, my dear love, I know it looks so heartbreaking and helpless, and that hurts even more. Honestly, I only hope that poets and artists like you continue to create and write poems and verses. In Nikos Kazantzakisβs novel, βZorba the Greek,β Zorba asks the writer why such horrible things happen. You, as the artist and intellectual, must have the answer! This question arises after a man kills a girl simply because of her desire to live freely. The writer responds that we have no salvation for this; we can only write about the suffering and pain it causes. Blessings.ππ

Aladin, I am so sorry that this is happening in your country and sadly many others in this world. The young people are the future of all of the countries with such regimes, but silencing them through prison and death will not stop them, instead it strengthens their spirits. We are so fortunate not to live in such a country right now, but it takes just one powerful tyrant to take control for that all to change. I hope in the same way that sudden change will happen in your homeland in a positive way, sooner rather than later! With love and light and wishes for a peaceful weekend.

The nots are the problem. Evin prison, I never heard if it until now. How horrible!
I took a position designing costumes for a TV series, “Little Mosque on the Prairie” because I thought I could help change minds and hearts on both sides, on many sides of many fences.
It worked a bit, for a small while. Then, the impetus changed from trying to communicate ideas to making $$$/ratings.
I was proud of what I was doing. Now,I am confused.
I hope for change for Iran, but not through war. I’m so tired of war.

Too bad God (or whatever you believe in) chose to give women actual working human brains – and men so often the power to overpower them physically, abuse them, denigrate them, remand them to the kitchen and the children, and require the protection their oppressors NEVER provide.
I suffer with my sisters everywhere – the supposed ‘respect for women’ isn’t there.
I would NEVER want to be under the protection of the mullahs. Even when women follow the rules perfectly, they get destroyed. With the lovely ‘rape as a weapon of war’ always there.

My friend, I honestly have no words left for what is going on in corners of he world today. In Iran especially. I am honestly glad that good, generous people like yourself still do because that way lies some kind of hope.

Oh, Aladin, on top of the sadness I feel about the US election, I read this post. It’s heartbreaking. I’m so sorry that the world has become such a frightening, dangerous place for young, creative, and hopeful generations. My prayers would go out to the young people of Iran, except that I don’t believe there’s a God to pray to, and the devils everywhere don’t care.
